Creating a will can be a difficult process because a person must contemplate what happens after he or she dies. The idea of death and dying is a taboo in many cultures including my own. However, the importance of creating a will and/or an estate plan cannot be overemphasized. A well-drafted will combined with a thoughtful estate plan can facilitate orderly administration of a person’s estate, provide  financial support for loved ones, prevent lengthy and costly court proceedings, and avoid unintended distribution of one’s assets.
